We Survived Gustav

Mark — Wed, 09/10/2008 - 19:40

Gustav hit the Baton Rouge, LA area hard, although not as hard as others south of us. We lost a few shingles and electricity for a few days. Lucky for us my wife's sister and family (they live next door to us) had a generator so we could power our refrigerator and freezer as well as a few lights and fans. What a blessing!

There's a lot of debris to pick up. I'm not complaining. Life is getting back to normal for us. Relatively speaking we came out of this very well compared to many others. There are still quite a number of people that don't have electricity yet! Again, I feel we are blessed.
